"Sowing the Story: the Sea Connects Us All." Highlighting the occupation of one of Brookside's occupants' father as a seaman out of New London, the mobility that water means for those seeking personal freedom and/or financial solvency, and the ways in which even an inland farm depends on ships & shipping before the advent of the railroad.
