🌿 Growing Together: A New Volunteer Group to Restore East Lyme’s Biodiversity
We’re launching a friendly, hands-on group of gardeners dedicated to making a real difference—right in our own backyards and at Brookside Farm Museum. Each week, we’ll gather to tackle invasive species like bittersweet, multiflora rose and Japanese honeysuckle, alternating between the museum grounds and members’ homes.
By joining forces, we’re not only improving each member's individual landscapes but also nurturing East Lyme’s native biodiversity and supporting the Homegrown National Park movement—a grassroots effort to restore habitat one yard at a time.
It’s a simple, rewarding way to learn more about native plants, build lasting connections with neighbors, and create healthier, more resilient ecosystems throughout our community.
To register or ask a question please email Annah at brooksidefarmmuseum@gmail.com or call 860-333-8793. Dates and day depend on group consensus. Group will start when we have five members or more.
